FAQ's

+ When will my home be cleaned?

Our normal working week is Monday – Friday, 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. We will schedule a regular slot for you and keep to it.

+ How regularly should I have my home cleaned?

The frequency of cleans is for you to decide, but we will discuss all the options with you to help you decide what frequency suits your particular circumstances.

+ Do I have to sign a contract?

Not at all! Here at Dust in Time, our philosophy is simple; use us for as long as we do a great job for you.

+ What happens if I go on holiday?

Simply call us with as much notice as possible. If you don’t require your home to be cleaned whilst you are away, then we simply cancel that week’s clean and there will be no charge.

+ What happens if my clean falls on a Bank Holiday?

We simply schedule that week’s clean for another day immediately before or after your normal day so you don’t miss out.

+ Are you Insured?

Yes. We have both Public Liability and Employees Liability Insurance. Please click here to view Certificate of Insurance

+ How can I be sure that my home will be secure?

At Dust in Time we take the security of our customers’ homes very seriously. Keys are attached to a fob bearing nothing but first names – no address. Keys are held under strict security, as are all security alarm codes, security gate codes, etc. All our staff hold current, valid CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) certificates, and arrive uniformed and wearing photographic identity badges. We are fully insured with public and employer liability and fidelity bonding in place.

+ Do I have to provide you with keys?

No, however most of our customers do, because it is more convenient for them not to be present when our staff are due, however if you would prefer to be at home when our staff call, that too is no problem.

+ What if something is not cleaned properly?

Call backs are extremely rare due to our exhaustive cleaning procedures, but customers have the peace of mind of knowing that we will get it right. If anything should ever go wrong, no matter how slight, however, then simply call us, and we will rectify it quickly and without fuss. We guarantee to be back within three working days.


+ Do you charge by the hour?

 

Yes. When we provide you with our free, no obligation, quotation, we explain the standard of service that you can expect. All quotations include VAT. That way, you know precisely how much you pay for each clean.

+ Do I have to provide my own cleaning materials?

 

Our team of highly-trained cleaning professionals uses your materials, equipment and solutions required to effect the clean of your home.

+ What about my personal documents? Should I tidy these away before the cleaner arrives?

There is no need to do this. We pride ourselves on our absolute discretion, and guarantee that our staff will never read your personal correspondence, etc. They will, with your prior permission, tidy papers, etc. into piles, but will never throw away anything that is not already in a waste bin.

+ When and how do I pay?

If you are a regular customer, our preferred payment is by standing order every 4 weeks, however if this inconvenient, you can pay by cheque. Your first clean is always paid in full, cash on the day of your scheduled clean. If you book a one-off spring clean, payment is due immediately and must be paid by cash.

+ Can I meet the cleaner(s)?

Yes. In fact, we prefer you to. Despite the fact that all our staff have been police checked, and despite the fact that we are fully insured and fidelity bonded, we believe that it is important, wherever it is convenient to you, for our customers to meet our staff so that you feel comfortable about who is coming into your home.

+ Do I get the same cleaner every visit?

We always try our utmost to keep the same cleaners for every visit. We will only change when it falls out of our control (i.e. holidays, sickness etc.)

+ How flexible is the service?

Very. In addition to our standard cleans, we provide a range of additional services to cover situations such as when visitors come to stay, after parties, oven and window cleaning, the list is endless.

+ How can I arrange to have a free, no obligation quotation and when will this be carried out?

Simply call us or complete the online form. We will then arrange to call on a date and at a time that is most convenient to you. We can do this during the day or in the evening, or even at weekends if that is the only time you can spare.
